At Utz Quality Foods, we’re looking for a driven and analytical Network Inventory Control Supervisor to join our Logistics leadership team in Gastonia, NC. This role plays a critical part in developing and improving inventory control processes, supporting warehouse operations, and driving inventory accuracy across the distribution network.
The ideal candidate will bring strong inventory management experience, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to identify operational gaps and implement long-term solutions. This position works closely with Logistics, Operations, Accounting, and Supply Chain teams to improve efficiency, maintain accurate inventory practices, and support business growth.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee monthly inventory counts and cycle count programs
- Support and participate in Annual Accounting Audits alongside Logistics leadership teams
- Conduct root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies, variances, and expiring materials
- Develop, improve, and enforce FIFO inventory processes, including putaway and picking procedures
- Identify aging or expired inventory and support proper disposition processes
- Analyze inventory movement trends and recommend warehouse layout improvements to drive efficiency
- Manage and maintain Logistics Heat Mapping tools and inventory tracking processes
- Support implementation of new warehouse systems, WMS enhancements, and scanning technologies
- Partner with Logistics and Inventory Control leadership to develop and implement new inventory control programs and procedures
- Conduct training and refresher sessions focused on inventory accuracy, process compliance, and warehouse best practices
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and process standardization
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Warehouse, Accounting, and Supply Chain teams to support business objectives
- Support inventory control operations across the Gastonia distribution network as needed
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of Supply Chain, Inventory Control, Logistics, Warehouse Operations, or Continuous Improvement experience
- Minimum 2 years of direct inventory control experience required
- Experience working with WMS systems, inventory tracking systems, and warehouse technologies preferred
- Strong understanding of FIFO, inventory auditing, cycle counting, and warehouse inventory management practices
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced logistics or warehouse environment
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
- Strong sense of urgency with the ability to work independently and drive results with minimal direction
- Experience supporting process improvement or continuous improvement initiatives preferred
- Flexibility to support operational needs across multiple warehouse or distribution locations as needed
