Job Description
Valid NC driver's license
18 years old
High school diploma/GED
Open until filled
Building Attendant specifically include:
- Opening and closing of park and recreation facilities during rentals, meetings, and programs
- Handling all aspects of building rentals, including, but not limited to, room set-up and tear-down, audio-visual needs in some facilities, ensuring security of other areas of building, custodial duties as needed.
- Communicating with users to address needs and accommodating users within departmental guidelines.
- Enforcing policies and procedures during rental and meeting times
- Ensuring smooth transitions between users and addressing specific needs to each user
- Performing custodial duties as needed
- Enforces rules and regulations at parks and facilities.
- Performs routine cleaning and custodial duties.
- Performs related tasks as required.
ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: High school graduate or GED; must be at least 18 years of age. Valid NC driver’s license or ability to obtain prior to hire and a safe driving history is also required.
JOB RELATED PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: This is work requiring the exertion of up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; work requires reaching, walking, stooping, crouching, standing, lifting, fingering, grasping, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, operation of machines, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities; the worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions.
