Overview
Are you a seasoned professional in syndicated loan servicing with a passion for leadership and operational excellence? Join our Commercial Lending Operations team as a Manager of Syndication Loan Servicing, where you’ll lead a high-performing team responsible for servicing some of the most complex and high-profile commercial loans in the industry. This is a back-office leadership role focused on managing the full lifecycle of syndicated loan transactions – from booking and funding to payment processing and rate adjustments – while ensuring seamless communication with participating banks and maintaining compliance with legal agreements and internal policies.

You’ll be managing the operational backbone of some of the bank’s largest and most strategic lending relationships – including high-profile projects like stadium builds and corporate expansions. These loans are too large for a single institution to carry, and your team ensures that the shared risk and servicing responsibilities are executed flawlessly.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead a team of 8-10 professionals servicing syndicated loans, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all operational activities.
- Oversee loan booking, funding, payments, rate rollovers, and advances for a portfolio of large, complex syndicated loans.
- Act as the primary liaison with participating and lead banks, ensuring clear communication and coordination on all transactions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including middle office, credit, and risk teams to support post-closing loan activity.
- Drive process improvement and operational efficiency across the unit, evaluating and enhancing procedures regularly.
- Monitor and report on unit performance, compiling month-end data for senior leadership.
- Provide coaching, training, and development to staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory standards, and audit requirements.
Education and Experience Required:
A combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and relevant work experience, inclusive of a minimum of 2 years' work leadership and/or supervisory experience
Excellent customer service skills
Prior experience using tact and diplomacy
Strong knowledge of relevant spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software as required within unit managed
Education and Experience Preferred:
Bachelor's degree
Syndication lending experience
Strong understanding of commercial lending systems
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with sophisticated borrowers and financial institutions
Proven ability to navigate complex relationships, resolve escalations, and manage risk
Call center and/or financial services operations experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong knowledge of departmental systems, documents and procedures
Proven experience to motivate team and handle conflict without alienating others
Work Model & Office Location:
- This is a hybrid position requiring 4 days in-office per week
