Summary
SCOR Reinsurance Asia Pacific Korea branch (“SRAP KR” or “the Entity”), based in Seoul, is part of the SCOR Group. The company writes both Life and Health (“L&H”) and Property and Casualty (“P&C”) reinsurance business.
As SRAP KR Senior Risk Officer (“SRO”), you will lead the Entity’s Risk Management function in establishing well-thought through, effective and efficient risk management systems and frameworks for identification, assessment, reporting, management and escalation of risk matters to your key stakeholders, with accurate facts and figures and due consideration of local regulatory requirements, in concise transparent and timely manner.
As the lead for Risk Management in SRAP KR, you will drive the thinking, planning, initiation, coordination, and delivery of all risk matters / activities, and be at the forefront on all risk matters relating to the Entity’s business. You will be responsible for providing independent and effective risk oversight of all risk-taking activities and risk events / incidents of the Entity, for embedding a strong risk management culture across the Entity, and for providing advice, risk insights, and risk opinions to your key stakeholders to support strong and effective risk management across the Entity.
You will continually seek to develop and strengthen the Risk Management function’s position as a trusted, credible business partner in the Entity as well as within APAC and Group.
Your key stakeholders include the Head of APAC Risk Management to whom you will report (i.e. your immediate manager), Group Risk Management, SRAP KR CEO and senior management, SRAP All Branches Executive Committee (“SRAP EC“), and regulatory bodies such as the Financial Services Commission (“FSC“) and Financial Financial Supervisory Service (“FSS“).
