Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Construction Crew Leader to join our team! In this role you will get to lead aspects of on-site field construction activities as directed by the Mine Manager.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Directs the field exectution of construction activities onsite at a remote mine in NWT.
- Ensure technical aspects of the program are carried out as directed by the Mine Manager and Project Manager.
- Oversees work carried out by project staff and subcontractors as required.
- Site surveying and grade control during construction.
- Keeps alert to possible problem areas and takes preventative action to ensure that critical milestones are met for each phase of the project.
- Ensures the use of sound construction practices to attain required quality control at the maximum efficiency and minimum cost.
- Prepares periodic reports summarizing progress of construction activities for higher-level management and clients.
- Ensures effective implementation of all Company and client policies and procedures, including labor relations policies.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in construction-related field (or equivalent construction-related work experience)
- 3+ years of experience in field construction is required.
- Experience in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is preferred.
- Requires a comprehensive knowledge of construction-related processes, as well as a thorough knowledge of industry practices.
- Proven leadership and management capability is also required, as well as good written and oral communications skills.
- Proven experience with surveying, layouts and grade control during construction
