Location

  • This role is based in Woodinville, WA and requires you to work onsite 4 days per week, with 1 day remote.
  • To be considered, you must live within commuting distance, as regular in-person collaboration is a key part of the role.

JOB SUMMARY

The Global Sourcing Specialist (hardgoods) supports a portfolio of critical, customized orders primarily from overseas manufacturers. This includes all levels of project management from scope definition, budget management and resource tracking in a fast-paced creative environment where priorities can change quickly. High levels of quick, creative problem-solving skills will set you up for success.

Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally with business experience in manufacturing, project management, supply chain, logistics, product management, or a related field.
  • 2–6 years of experience in sourcing, product development, project management, materials, production, resource planning, supplier management.
  • Hands-on/direct 1:1 experience working with overseas factories, suppliers, or sourcing partners; experience with Chinese factories or Asia-based sourcing is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage supplier negotiations, including pricing, MOQs, production timelines, feasibility, and trade-offs.
  • Strong business judgment, common sense, and ownership mindset, with a demonstrated work ethic and ability to follow through on commitments.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, orders, or production timelines concurrently while maintaining attention to detail, deadlines, and customer expectations.
  • Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially in fast-paced or ambiguous environments where priorities may shift.
  • Effective cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to partner closely with Sales, Design, Logistics, Vendors, and internal stakeholders to keep projects moving forward.

  • Ability to work closely and effectively with other members of sales, purchasing, product development groups and clients
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with co-workers and clients.
  • Promote high level of customer service to ensure smooth operations and satisfied internal partners/clients

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage portfolio of critical projects/orders and execute them on time, meeting quality expectations while remaining on budget.
  • Improve existing processes as well as establish new ones as well as documenting to efficiently manage the key areas of responsibility
  • Work collaboratively with departmental team managers on department-wide initiatives and management
  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative partnerships with internal clients and other departments
  • Create Purchase Order Issuance Templates and manage Purchase Orders with multiple venders to meet IHD/Event Dates.

Project Management Duties

  • Work with internal and external clients to manage strategic and tactical aspects of key projects: SOW, scope, issues/risks, schedule, estimates, budget, quality, communication, team and client relationships daily.
  • Set up and participate in project kick-off, status, and review meetings
  • Ensure project requirements are clearly scoped, communicated and delivered
  • Calculate estimated landed costs, establish work plans for key projects to include contributing stakeholders, inter-departmental work groups, as well as Design Lab and Logistics
  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Ensure projects are completed within budget and on time
  • Ensure that all work maintains the high-quality standards demanded by BDA and its clients
  • Manage all projects to completion – report and track on time delivery/ cost savings to ensure meeting annual WIGs.
  • Additional duties as assigned by Manager

Travel Involved: Limited, as needed for client meetings, vendor management and select events

We are pleased to share the base salary range for this position is $92,000 to $100,000. If you are hired at BDA, your compensation will be determined based on factors that may include geographic location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any offer. In the spirit of pay transparency, the range listed is the full base salary range for the role and hiring at the top of the range would not be typical, in order to allow for future salary growth. The range listed is just one component of BDA’s total compensation and rewards programs, which includes: robust PTO; vacation, a paid volunteer day, holidays and summer Fridays, Benefits; medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance, 401k; tuition reimbursement, mental health and financial wellness programs and professional development opportunities including tuition reimbursement. Certain revenue-generating positions may be eligible for incentive compensation.
