About the role
The Advisor, Asia Impact is responsible for supporting the realisation of RMIT University’s strategic aspiration to be a leading university of impact in the Asia Pacific region with a particular focus on project delivery under the Australia Vietnam Policy Institute (AVPI).
Working closely with the Associate Director, Asia Impact, this role will focus on the implementation and delivery of the AVPI program.
It will also work closely with a broad range of stakeholders in Australia and Asia – with a particular focus in Vietnam – across government, industry and think tanks.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
Experience working on strategic projects and managing expectations across a broad range of stakeholders.
Ability to analyse information and form actionable insights to influence strategic decision making and public policy engagement.
Excellent communication skills, including an ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the University to deliver agreed outcomes and targets.
Self-starter with positive ‘can do’ attitude and proactive approach to supporting team and project outcomes.
Strong focus on attention to detail while ensuring operational needs meet strategic objectives.
Demonstrated ability to work independently under broad direction and collaboratively contributing to a productive team environment, including in a cross-cultural context.
Ability to work across multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally as needed
Interest in, or understanding of, the Asia-Pacific region is desirable.
