Day Kimball Health is hiring for a LIS Analyst to join our Laboratory Department in Putnam, CT!
Schedule: Day Shift (24/7/365 on-call), 40 Hours Per Week
Weekends: if applicable

LIS Analyst Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for LIS applications, interfaces, and related systems.
- Build, test, maintain, and troubleshoot:
- LIS instrumentation interfaces
- Reference laboratory interfaces
- LIS modules and applications
- Coordinate, test, and implement LIS system upgrades and enhancements.
- Administer and troubleshoot Sunquest LIS and related systems.
- Perform patient billing reconciliation accurately and timely.
- Create and maintain Reports within the LIS environment.
- Develop and maintain operational documentation, procedures, and user policies.
- Collaborate with vendors, laboratory staff, IT teams, and leadership on projects and system improvements.
- Participate in project planning, implementation, testing, and support activities.
- Provide excellent customer service and technical support.
- Maintain current knowledge of emerging technologies and industry best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
LIS Analyst Education and Experience Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related clinical field preferred.
Experience
- Background in Sunquest preferred.
- Experience with HIS preferred.
- 1 - 3 years of experience in a LIS support role required. 4 – 6 years of experience preferred.
- 4 - 6 years working in the Information Technology industry, including direct evidentiary talents and responsibilities for supporting laboratory information systems, associated applications and, workstations.
LIS Analyst Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of LIS applications, interfaces, and system support processes.
- Proficiency with Sunquest LIS or similar laboratory information systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong customer service and collaboration skills.
- Ability to present technical information, project updates, and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize competing responsibilities.
