Using their essential experience within project coordination, the role holder oversees all activities of the site office in the Yard. They will regularly review the progress of each project, providing reports to the Senior Director, Project Owner highlighting any issues. Working with many departments, they will support in the development of a test and inspection plan, monitoring the Yards quality.
- Oversee the progress of the project and report to the Senior Director, Project Owner the actual status compared to the Yard programs including regular reports in all the phases of the construction
- Record, report and discuss major construction issues
- Keep under control and discuss with the Yard representatives the open remarks and defects
- Coordinate the workload of the different departments in the daily activities
- Discuss and agree with the Yard, together with the newbuilding departments representatives, the test and inspections plan
- Monitor the Yard quality control plan both in terms of progress and results including the weight reports and control procedures
- Support the New Building team during the Vessel delivery including but not limited to the preparation of the Protocol of Delivery Technical addendum
- Maintain relations with the Classification Society representatives at the Yard and attend periodical tri-party meetings
- Maintain the relations with the Vessel Operation representatives at the Yard including possible synergies for the inspections on board and the coordination of the Vessel hand over
- Discuss and follow up the lesson learned (including the design and repetitive warranty claims) with the Yard for the sister Vessels.
QUALIFICATIONS
DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree
FIELD(S) OF STUDY:
Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering
EXPERIENCE
At least 7 years of experience within a similar role.
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS
• Experienced using Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficient in the English Language (B1 or above)
• Demonstratable Team Working Skills
• Good Communication Skills
• Excellent Organisational Skills
