Job Description
SUMMARY –
- Oversees and is responsible for all aspects of departmental production and the suitability for sale of all items produced during his/her assigned hours.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES –
- Responsible for the health & safety of all employees assigned during his/her shift.
- Follow and ensure that subordinates adhere to all applicable safe work policies & procedures.
- Maintain a safe & clean work area.
- Ensure that corporate policies and procedures are followed. Take disciplinary action as needed
- Ensure that all orders produced are completed according to the specifications provided.
- Maintain acceptable production rates
- Complete all paper work and data entry as required.
- Responsible for the training and retraining of crew members and support personnel.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

- Must be able to train operators and troubleshoot problems on assigned machinery
- Must be able to understand and follow production schedules
- Must be able to communicate effectively with subordinates
- Must have good leadership qualities and maintain the respect of his subordinates
- Must have a reasonable knowledge of current Production Software
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE -
- 5 years press experience preferred
- High School Diploma or higher preferred, but not required
LANGUAGE SKILLS -
- Needs a working understanding of both written & spoken English
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS –
- Must be able to read & use a non metric measuring tape
- Must be able to count & perform simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division)

- Able to bend and lift 50 lbs. without assistance
- Able to lift 10 lbs. continuously for prolonged periods.
