Our Stormwater Department is seeking a dedicated Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will provide skilled, journeyman level work in the installation, modification, maintenance and repair of a variety of industrial electrical and electronic systems and equipment. The new Electirician will be responsible for performing assignments of more than average difficulty, requiring the application of electrical trade skills in the diagnosis, installation, maintenance and repair of highly complex electrical wiring systems, lighting equipment, motors, industrial motor control systems, generators, transformers, and other electrical and electronic systems and equipment.

  • Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs industrial electrical systems associated with stormwater pump stations, including high-voltage equipment, motors, control panels, and telemetry systems.
  • Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs electrical components such as wiring, breakers, panels, transformers, generators, and motor control systems.
  • Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on pump station electrical systems to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoots and maintains motor controls, starters, VFDs (if applicable), and associated control systems.
  • Utilizes electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, and power meters to diagnose and resolve electrical issues.
  • Reads and interprets electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and plans to support installation, maintenance, and repair work.
  • Assists with troubleshooting and maintenance of telemetry/SCADA systems used for monitoring and control of pump stations.
  • Operates and maintains electrical tools and equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
  • Ensures all work is performed in compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and departmental procedures.
  • Maintains accurate records of work performed and completes required reports and documentation. May be required to perform “stand-by” duty, being available and responding to off-duty emergency call-in to effect repairs to malfunctioning electrical and electronic equipment and systems.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED plus additional vocational education in electrical wiring; plus two years of journey level residential, commercial and industrial electrical experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving history.

Work Location: 12 Interchange Drive Work Hours: 7 am - 3:30 pm

Background investigation, including supervised drug screen, post offer/pre-employment medical screen; and verificationof education, certifications, and licenses required prior to employment
Knowledge of data conception and form and spatial aptitude.
