Director, Sourcing Services - Finance and Accounting
Job Description
Position Summary
Winsupply Sourcing Services (WSS) operates ~3.5 million square feet of wholesaling warehouse space, while offering inventory and vendor management solutions, to be the premier vendor partner for our customer base.
Our customer base consists of aspiring entrepreneurs who own and operate their own wholesale distribution businesses, now over 675 businesses nationwide. Therefore, this job provides the opportunity to have a direct impact in the success of entrepreneurial small businesses across the United States, and in particular, those that rely on WSS to improve their financial performance. In this role, you will have direct responsibility for the financial statements of WSS, in addition to oversight of all Finance & Accounting functions within the organization – including, but not limited to, Accounts Payable, Claims, Receiving Coordinators, Incentive Processing, Accounting, & Audit.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Strategic Direction
- Oversee, maintain, and develop a strong leadership team – including Manager, Finance, and Manager, Accounting & Audit; build effective understanding of team ADWIAD responsibilities.
- Monitor team responsibilities; maintain high-level service; review and react to key performance metrics.
- Administer performance management system, including metric recordkeeping, monthly 1:1’s, annual reviews, Trakstar system, promotion and bonus recommendations, performance improvement plans, etc.
- Identify, bring forth, and implement process improvements and automation opportunities; work with executive leadership to develop and implement strategic projects and initiatives.
- Provide direct financial pro-forma projection and projection to actual analysis for Long Range Vision plan.
Financial Statement and Process Accuracy, Oversight, and Controls
- Serve as primary subject matter expert for the financial statements of WSS to both Sourcing and Winsupply Inc. executive leadership; identify and comment on trends, uncover issues, drive resolution.
- Review financial statement processes, including preventative and detective controls, and ensure their effective operation; build-out internal audit for both financial and operational processes across organization.
- Implement strong budgetary system for all Sourcing teams, as well as financial oversight on spend.
- Build and develop strong internal closing process for month-end and year-end; ensure its execution.
Partner Escalations and Cross-Functional Support
- Resolve escalated financial issues between Sourcing Services and our Local Company customers and vendor partners where necessary, including, but not limited to, debit memos, claims, claim backs, etc.
- Collaborate effectively as main point of contact between WSS and Winsupply Equity Group.

Competencies for Success
- Proven ability to oversee and develop a multi-tiered leadership team.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable trends for both Sourcing and Winsupply Inc. executives.
- Expertise in developing direct financial pro-forma projections and performing "Projection vs. Actual" analysis to support the Long-Range Vision (LRV) plan.
- A continuous improvement mindset focused on identifying manual bottlenecks and implementing automation opportunities.
- ability to design and execute a rigorous month-end and year-end closing process that ensures accuracy and speed.
- Strong negotiation skills used to resolve escalated financial disputes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- Relevant experience considered in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years’ experience in Accounting or Finance, including at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or CMA licensure.
- Experience in industrial distribution, wholesaling, or large-scale procurement operations.
