Job Description

Job Summary : SEACORP is seeking Electrical Engineers at various levels to support the design, development, and manufacturing of tactical navigation systems for surface and submarine platforms. Electrical engineers in this role design, develop, and test specialized electronic equipment, including navigation sensors and military-grade interface circuits. Tasking involves performing requirements analysis, designing embedded microprocessor systems, and developing power distribution architectures. Engineers are responsible for ensuring hardware meets rigorous military standards through circuit board design, heat loading analysis, and preparation for environmental qualification testing (EQT). Job Responsibilities Include: Tactical System Design: Design and develop navigation sensors and commercial-to-military interface circuits for maritime platforms. Requirements Analysis: Formulate and analyze performance requirements for complex electrical systems and components.Power Systems: Lead power distribution system design, including load balancing and power analysis for shipboard integration. Circuit Embedded Systems: Design high-precision circuit boards and integrated embedded microprocessor systems. Cable Plant Design: Develop comprehensive cable plant designs for equipment racks and shipboard installation, utilizing copper, fiber, and RF interconnects. Environmental EMI Compliance: Design equipment and components to meet Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) best practices and MIL-STD environmental qualification requirements. Thermal Management: Perform heat loading analysis to ensure system reliability in enclosed maritime environments. System Integration: Examine Interface Control Documents (ICD) and Government Furnished Information (GFI) to integrate new hardware into existing ship architectures. CAD Documentation: Develop end-to-end system engineering drawings and interconnect diagrams using CAD software. Material Selection: Select appropriate Mil-Spec and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) materials to meet design specifications. Collaborative Engineering: Interface with cross-functional teams of engineers, logisticians, and technicians to ensure product deadlines and workmanship standards are met. Field Support: Travel to various naval stations or test facilities may be required on a limited basis.
