Reports to the Civil Division Deputy Chief and working in the PIA Section with one other attorney and 4 paralegals in the handling of Public Information Act requests for Dallas County. This includes PIA request to the County Clerk and the Tax Assessor. It also includes PIAs for District Attorney criminal record files. Prepare legal briefs to the Texas Attorney General’s Office regarding Public Information Act requests; handle PIA complaints submitted to the office; research law applicable to documents the subject of PIA request. Complete other projects and works as assigned.
