Fairview Health Services is seeking a dedicated and motivated RN to join our Vascular Access team at our Edina, Minnesota campus. This role offers an exciting opportunity to care for a high-acuity, diverse population of both surgical and medical patients, while collaborating closely with a skilled, multidisciplinary team.

The Vascular Access Team RN is responsible for troubleshooting and placing all types of vascular access devices managing the care vascular access of the young adult, adult or older patient experiencing vascular needs. The Vascular Access RN is responsible to the Nurse Manager for assigned Vascular Access Team.

Schedule: This position is a casual RN position.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
- Collaborates with patient, family, and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care
- Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition, and other relevant needs.
- Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.
- Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care
- Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
- Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP)
Required Qualifications
- MN Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
- 2 years of recent vascular access experience
- Ability to independently complete PICC line, Midline insertions and ultrasound guided IV insertions upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- 2-5 years vascular access experience

Compensation Disclaimer
The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting. An individual's pay rate within this range may be influenced by various factors, including FTE, skills, knowledge, educational background, and qualifying experience as specified in the contract.
