Position Summary: We’re looking for the AI Business Systems Analyst – Finance Domain (Salesforce CPQ/Revenue Systems) will join the athenahealth athenaIT team in India to design and deliver AI-enabled solutions across finance and revenue platforms. This role combines business systems expertise with applied AI capabilities to improve automation, decision-making, and operational efficiency. The individual will leverage technologies such as OpenAI, Claude, Agentforce, and other AI frameworks to enhance finance workflows. The role requires close collaboration with finance stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to identify opportunities, translate business requirements into scalable solutions, and drive innovation across finance technology.

About the Team: The athenaIT team supports enterprise business processes and technology platforms that enable operational efficiency and business growth across athenahealth. The team is advancing an AI-first strategy by embedding intelligent automation and generative AI capabilities into core Finance, Revenue, and Commercialization systems. Team members work at the intersection of business process, technology, and AI innovation to deliver scalable, secure, and high-impact solutions. The team is focused on improving productivity, enhancing decision-making, and accelerating digital transformation across the organization.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and optimize Salesforce CPQ and finance-related systems, incorporating AI-driven enhancements where appropriate.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and prioritize AI use cases across pricing, quoting, billing, and revenue workflows.
  • Develop prompt engineering strategies and solutions to enable effective use of large language models (LLMs) such as OpenAI and Claude.
  • Build, support, and enhance AI-powered agents and automation workflows using Agentforce or similar AI frameworks.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable system designs and AI-enabled technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate AI services, APIs, and models into enterprise systems while ensuring security, compliance, and data integrity.
  • Develop and execute testing strategies, including validation of AI outputs, model behavior, and business process outcomes.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure successful AI solution delivery and adoption.


Additional Job Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain functional designs, AI use cases, prompt libraries, user guides, and other system documentation.
  • Develop training materials and support user enablement for AI tools, prompt engineering practices, and business system workflows.
  • Recommend and promote best practices related to responsible AI usage, governance, and process optimization.
  • Participate in Agile delivery activities and cross-functional initiatives supporting AI adoption and innovation.
  • Contribute to the evolution and implementation of an AI-first operating model within Finance Technology.
  • Stay current with emerging trends, advancements, and best practices in generative AI, LLMs, and enterprise AI platforms.
  • Drive continuous improvements in system scalability, reliability, performance, and AI-driven business value.


Expected Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in business systems analysis, finance systems, Salesforce CPQ, or related domains.
  • Hands-on experience with generative AI tools such as OpenAI, Claude, and prompt engineering techniques.
  • Experience designing, implementing, or supporting AI-enabled workflows, automation solutions, or agent-based platforms such as Agentforce.
  • Understanding of Salesforce CPQ, billing, revenue management processes, and enterprise finance systems.
  • Knowledge of API integrations, data flows, enterprise system architecture, and testing methodologies; experience with JIRA and Confluence preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovation-focused environment.
