We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in Darlington. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting elderly individuals and adults with various needs in their own homes, ensuring they maintain their independence and quality of life.

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Assist with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Help with mobility around the home, including safe transferring techniques
• Oversee medication administration and provide basic medical support as required
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning and tidying
• Prepare and cook nutritious meals according to dietary requirements
• Run errands, such as food shopping or collecting prescriptions
• Maintain accurate records 
• Promote clients' independence and dignity at all times

• Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to help others
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Physical stamina to assist with mobility and personal care tasks
• Patience and understanding when working with vulnerable individuals
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills for accurate record-keeping
• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
• Valid UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
• Right to work in the UK
• Willingness to undergo a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
