Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY
Performs work in a centralized operations environment, under some supervision and within established policies and department procedures. Provides back-office support associated with check signature verifications, returned deposited items, check adjustments, change of address requests, bank by mail deposits, non-posted items, collections, returned mail, remote deposit capture, mobile deposit processing, ATM deposit processing, including the following functional duties:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Reviews inclearing, large dollar, and two signature required items (checks/ debits) to ensure proper signature, date, endorsements, etc.
Prepares possible returns list for those items that do not meet the standard pay file guidelines.
Maintains customers’ change of address.
Processes Returned Deposited Items.
Processes Mobile and ATM Deposits, Bank by Mail, Pouch Activity for the Hong Kong Branch or Representative Office.
Processes and/or communicates to FIS branch/department decisions for Nonpost Exception Items, Stop Payment Suspect items, and NSF/Overdraft processing.
Validates Incoming EARNS notifications against accounts.
Processes Check Adjustments.
Processes Incoming and Outgoing Foreign and Canadian Collections.
Processes and distributes Returned and Hold Mail.
Reviews Business Mobile Deposits and Remote Deposit Capture.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Education: High school graduate. Some college preferred, but not mandatory.
Experience:
Experience: Previous experience working in a banking and/or financial services environment or any other setting where balancing and reconciliation activity is key. Preferred but not mandatory, at least 1 year of back-office deposit operations experience.
Skills/Ability:
Skills/Ability: Good math skills. Ability to recognize irregular or suspicious transactions when filling pay checks, knowledge of check returns and adjustments. Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate customer service skills. PC literate and 10 key by touch. Ability to work variable hours or overtime, which may be adjusted as required depending on business needs.
OTHER DETAILS
$23.46 – $25.96 / hour
Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
