Description:
Responsible for providing technical leadership and maintaining the plant’s electrical, instrumentation, and process control (PLC) equipment/systems. Ensure the stable operation of the plant computer network as the onsite IT contact. The position requires independent judgment in determining and implementing process control strategies including changes for process improvement, and process and computer system troubleshooting, and supports daily plant operations.
Skill/Experience/Education
Mandatory:
Minimum qualifications include: Associate degree or diploma in Electrical or instrumentation with 2+ years (or equivalent work experience) of electrical, instrumentation and PLC experience in a manufacturing environment. Competence and knowledge in electrical devices and process control instrumentation. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Strong electrical and electronics background. Proven analytical and problem solving abilities. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment. Ability to read and understand electrical and loop sheet drawings. Leadership skills and ability to manage and direct teams of contractors. Personal protective equipment (e.g. respirators and chemical resistant clothing, hard hats, safety eyewear, etc.) that may be required at times will increase the level of physical stress experienced by workers.
Desired:
Highly desirable qualifications include: Knowledge of data acquisition systems. Knowledge of windows servers and industrial and business network system.
