Job Responsibilities:
Treatment Plan Development: Create effective treatment plans and obtain necessary approvals from referring physicians.
Patient Care: Deliver treatment in accordance with physician-directed plans.
Supervision: Oversee Physical Therapy Assistants in patient care activities, ensuring compliance with state practice regulations.
Collaboration: Maintain open communication with supervisors and healthcare team members regarding patient progress and care plans.
Meeting Participation: Attend Patient Care Conferences, Utilization Review meetings, and Rehabilitation Conferences as needed.
Documentation: Keep accurate records of evaluations, daily treatment notes, and weekly progress reports in compliance with PT Board policies.
Family Instruction: Provide training for patients' families or nursing staff on maintenance programs and caregiver guidance for discharge.
Discharge Planning: Actively engage in the discharge planning process.
Recommendation of Equipment: Suggest and facilitate the ordering of essential durable medical equipment to enhance patient mobility and independence.
Equipment Maintenance: Report any issues with department equipment and oversee its maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.
Required License or Certification:
Valid Physical Therapist License in good standing.
