
Endoscopy Technician - PRN
Job Description
Job Summary
- Prepares endoscopy procedures rooms and required specialized equipment for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Assists the physician and/or registered nurse during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to promote optimal patient outcomes by team collaboration.
- Provides and maintains a safe environment for the patient and staff by complying with regulatory agency requirements and hospital and unit-specific policies.
- Follows established policies and procedures for NRHS.
- Assists with patient tasks as requested by nurse.
- Maintains environment and instruments.
Qualifications
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- 6 months of recent health care tech or nurse assistant experience preferred.
(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)
Licensure/Certification/Registration/Professional Designation ETC
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
Compensation/Benefits
- $16.72-$27.30/hr depending on previous work experience.
