About the opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior People & Culture Advisor to join our fast-paced retail pharmacy business, supporting leaders across our store network, head office, and distribution centres.
Partnering with leaders across NSW and ACT, you will provide practical, hands-on advice on a broad range of people matters, with a strong focus on performance, conduct, and employee relations. You will coach leaders to manage their teams effectively, navigate challenges, and make consistent, well-informed decisions.
This role also includes responsibility for leading and developing an Advisor, making it a great opportunity for someone stepping into or building their leadership capability.
This is a full-time role based in our Preston Support Office (onsite 4 days per week), with occasional travel to support your interstate portfolio.
What does a typical day look like?
Reporting to the Head of People & Culture – Advisory, your responsibilities include:
- Build trusted relationships with leaders across your portfolio, including State and Territory Managers
- Lead and develop a direct report, building capability and performance
- Provide clear, practical advice on people and employment matters
- Coach leaders to manage performance, conduct, and employee relations issues
- Support grievance and workplace investigations to ensure fair and timely outcomes
- Interpret and advise on employment legislation, Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and policies
- Prepare employee-related correspondence and documentation
- Identify themes and work proactively with leaders to improve outcomes
- Maintain accurate and confidential records
- Contribute to improving P&C processes and ways of working

We are looking for an experienced People and Culture professional who thrives in a high-volume environment and delivers practical, business-focused outcomes.
You will bring strong employee relations capability and the ability to coach and influence leaders to confidently manage people matters.
You will possess the following skills and experience:
- Experience as a Senior People and Culture Advisor / Business Partner with strong ER capability
- Experience in multi-site or high-volume environments (retail preferred)
- Proven ability to coach and influence leaders
- Experience leading or mentoring others, or readiness to step into leadership
- A balance of reactive case management and proactive thinking
- Sound knowledge of employment legislation, Awards, and Enterprise Agreements
- Strong communication, judgement, and prioritisation skills
- A practical, solutions-focused approach and understanding of operational environments
