Now Hiring: Systems Administrator

As a Systems Administrator, you’ll work under the leadership of the AVP – Technology Operations and be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the organization’s on‑premise and hybrid cloud infrastructure. This role manages Microsoft server environments, core enterprise applications, identity platforms, and cloud services. The ideal candidate is experienced in both traditional datacenter operations and modern cloud technologies, ensuring performance, reliability, and security across all systems.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure & Server Administration - Administer, maintain, patch, and optimize on‑premise Microsoft Windows Server environments. Manage virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper‑V) including provisioning, resource optimization, and monitoring. Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability to ensure reliable operation.
  • Identity, Access, & Security Management - Administer Active Directory, including OU structure, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and role-based access. Manage and monitor Entra ID (Azure AD) for hybrid identity, SSO, conditional access, authentication policies, and security posture. Maintain and support Identity lifecycle management, privileged access workflows, and access review processes.
  • Cloud & Hybrid Cloud Administration - Support and administer Microsoft Azure services including virtual machines, storage, networking, security, and monitoring. Manage hybrid identity, Azure AD Connect, and synchronization processes. Assist in cloud resource governance, cost optimization, and policy compliance.
  • Microsoft 365 Administration - Administer Microsoft 365 platform services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and security/compliance center tools. Deploy and manage configurations and compliance policies in Intune for workstation and mobile device management. Support licensing, auditing, and tenant‑level configuration.
  • Application & System Management - Maintain enterprise applications running on Microsoft platforms. Perform updates, configuration, patching, and break/fix support for core server applications. Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery readiness for all systems.
  • Operational Support & Collaboration - Respond to escalated system issues, outages, and service requests. Document procedures, configurations, diagrams, and system changes. Work with cross‑functional teams on projects, integrations, and infrastructure upgrades. Participate in on‑call rotation and after‑hours maintenance windows as needed.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in system administration or infrastructure support. Experience with hybrid on‑prem/cloud environments required.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.

Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator (AZ‑104), Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, ITIL Foundation or similar, CompTIA Network+ / Security+ (optional but valuable)

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. for server and hardware installation and ability to work in datacenter/server‑room environments.

Other Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) administration. Expertise in Active Directory, GPO design, DNS/DHCP, and domain services. Hands‑on experience with Azure and Entra ID. Proficiency with M365 (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, OneDrive). Experience with Intune for device and application management. Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, firewalls). Experience with backup technologies, DR concepts, and system monitoring tools. Familiarity with zero‑trust principles and security best practices. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
