The purpose of the Detection Sales Specialist’s role is to build, expand and maintain Revvity’s customer base for multimode readers and associated business in SouthWest USA and Western Canada territory.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Sales of Multimode Plate Readers (Envision Nexus, Victor Nivo and Victor Kira) within territory. Management of key accounts and customer relationships in biopharma, biotech, hospitals, industry, academia, government markets. Develop new business and implement sales and marketing strategy in alignment with Revvity values. Expected to cultivate a positive customer experience. Development of long term multi year account strategies to grow account business.
Technical Proficiency
- Technical Proficiency with Multimode Plate Readers
- Strong understanding of the drug discovery process
- Ability to demonstrate products for customers
- Ability to assist in assay optimization and train new customers on Revvity plate readers
- Market knowledge of new detection products and applications
- Capable of discussing therapeutic discovery applications with researchers
- Engage with customers in a consultative manner
- Continuous engagement of new and existing customers with Revvity plate readers
- Proficiency with life science workflows and ability to identify Revvity cross sell product fit
Territory Management
- Actively meet new customers within assigned territory on a daily basis
- Manage time in an effective manner, balancing maintenance of existing business relationships with cultivation of new business
- Ability to discuss overall detection market in territory
- Project and maintain accurate territory forecast
- Maintains good CRM hygiene
- Map relevant departmental structure at assigned accounts and gain access to decision makers
- Prospect and create new multimode reader opportunities in territory
- Build long term account strategies for growing business within the territory
- Build and cultivate positive relationships with key opinion leaders, decision makers, influencers, operations, procurement in territory
- Manage expense account
Cultivate a Positive Customer Interface
- Own the customer experience to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Facilitate problem solving for customers, managing cross functional coordination within Revvity
- Build a long term strong relationship with the customers
- Participation in trade show/exhibitions/conferences
Basic Qualifications:
- BS, MS, or Ph.D. (Life sciences e.g. biotechnology, biochemistry, biology preferred)
- Prior sales/business experience is a plus, but not mandatory (including project/product management, etc)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fluent in English, speaking and writing
- Proactive mindset with strong sense of responsibility and ownership. Should be results oriented and able to operate effectively in a multicultural workplace.
- Ability to analyze and solve complex problems. Capable of influencing and motivating others.
- Able to operate independently and as part of a team
- Should have excellent self-motivational skills
- Should have strong communication skills: Writing emails (internal/external), speaking on the phone, speaking in person
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, can work well cross-functionally and with variety of personality types
- Is very well organized, stress resistant and versatile
- Ability to perform in a complex matrix organizational structure and being able to effectively influence across functional boundaries.
- Professional, emotionally mature and ethical
- Willingness to travel locally by car ~80% of the time. Overnight travel 10-20%
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Word
- Experience with assay data analysis
The pay range for this full-time position is a salary $92,000.00 - $123,000.00 USD Annually. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The pay offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
