Job Description
PRIMARY TASKS AND DUTIES
- Inspect, monitor and patrol assigned areas.
- Perform thorough investigation of any suspicious situations.
- Utilize sound judgment and best concepts, practices and procedures to safely resolve situations.
- Communicate verbally and/or by writing with staff members, patients, visitors, vendors, customers, and/or managers in the resolution of problems or disputes.
- Maintain accurate, thorough reporting documentation.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Experience
- Demonstrated success in inspecting, monitoring and patrolling a facility. Prior experience in a community health care environment preferred.
- Significant knowledge of procedures and safety measures related to security.
- Demonstrated success and experience with difficult, problematic situations.
- Demonstrated success in customer service and response.
Education
- High school diploma.
- Advanced course work in related field preferred.
- Must have Security Officer Commission
- Must have CPR Certification
Physical Requirements
- Physical abilities to lift or push objects up to 50 - 80 pounds.
- Ability to regularly stand and walk for extended periods of time
