Job Description
Shift Hours: B Shift = 1pm- 9pm, Monday-Friday
Job Summary:
Operates standard and specialized Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to move, load, unload, stack, and unstack raw materials, products, and equipment. Works in automated or non‑automated production areas, including warehouses, open storage, receiving, and shipping.
Supports material flow throughout the facility by delivering and removing materials for work centers and equipment. Monitors production needs and allocates resources to meet shipping, receiving, and production goals.
Receives daily assignments from supervisory and management staff. May be required to perform duties outside the forklift operator role based on company needs.
Specific duties include:

Reads factory ticket and/or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or product to be moved.

Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, and shelves by hand or through use of MHE.

Conveys materials from storage or work centers to designated areas.

Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled and enters information in electronic scanner as required.

May attach identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.

Participates in inventory counting events and inventory management as required.

Loads or unloads trucks as required.

Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together.

Lifts objects by hand and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators.

Performs daily inspection on forklift and turns in Daily/Weekly Inspection Report at the end of each week, including participation in battery maintenance.

May be assigned to production, receiving, shipping, warehouse, or distribution.

Performs all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
Specific qualifications include:

Must be able to pass forklift certification test and maintain proficiency in operating equipment. Previous experience as a material handler or in a production/warehouse environment is preferred.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to use a tape measure to determine correct size / customer’s requirements.

Ability to communicate and comprehend English language to read safety procedures or hazardous‑material labels, understand equipment instructions, communicate with supervisors or team members to maintain safety, complete documentation required for the role, operate machinery, and other job duties.

Ability to determine course of action required when presented with a new issue or course of action required when a repetitive problem occurs.

Demonstrate strong organizational skills to track materials, manage staging areas, and support efficient production flow.

Able to consistently lift 75–100 pounds when handling materials, pallets, and equipment components.

Capable of standing, bending, twisting, climbing, and reaching throughout the entire shift in a fast‑paced environment.

Maintain a positive attitude and work effectively as part of a team to support safe and efficient operations.

Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
