Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Retrofill Materials Technician.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $47000 - $69000 a year.

What you’ll do:
Primary function
The Switchgear Modernization division of EESS designs and manufactures custom solutions that allow for the modernization of both LV and MV equipment. The Retrofill Materials Technician is responsible for inventory control, material quality verification, and assembly of retrofill kits to support production and customer requirements. This role ensures materials are accurately received, stored, inventoried, inspected, and kitted while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Essential functions
Receiving/Shipping Retrofill Kits
• Maintain accurate inventory levels of retrofill components, hardware, and materials
• Receive, identify, label, and store incoming materials according to established procedures
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Ship complete retrofill kits on time with customer schedule to accurate locations
Kitting Operations
• Assemble and verify retrofill kits according to engineering specifications, bill of materials, and work instructions
• Ensure kits are complete, accurate, and available to support production schedules and customer demand
• Stage and organize materials for efficient kit assembly and distribution
• Identify missing, damaged, or incorrect components and coordinate corrective actions
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase kitting efficiency
Quality
• Inspect materials and kits for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with quality standards
• Verify part numbers, quantities, revisions, and documentation before kit release
• Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with safety and quality requirements
• Understand and follow prescribed EESS safety policies, pertaining to shop and field environments
• Work with Electrical and Mechanical Engineer to solve customer control issues & requirements
• Participate and contribute to process improvements
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.

- No relocation is offered for this position. Candidate must reside within 50 mile radius of Warrendale, PA to be considered
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or an Engineering discipline.
- Strong understanding of Vista and Mapics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Strong understanding of quality procedures

Additional Information:
• Applicants must be willing to perform all aspects of product design & test. Frequent physical labor is required to assemble, verify, and test prototype samples.
• Applicants must successfully complete EESS safety training to operate at customer sites. Applicants must adhere to all EESS safety programs and policies.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Willingness to work with basic hand tools and work in a shop environment is essential.
• Willingness to learn basic controls theory and wiring practices.
Dimensions
• This position will directly contribute to increased sales volume and generate additional pull-through for EESS DOCs.
• Generation and installation of new designs for the market will broaden the EESS Solution set and improve Eaton’s position as a premier electrical distribution manufacturer.
