Registered Nurse (RN) - FT
Haxtun Hospital District is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Extended Care Unit (ECU) to provide compassionate, high-quality care for residents in a long-term care setting. This role includes assessment, medication administration, care planning, and coordination with the healthcare team to support resident safety, comfort, and quality of life. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, team-oriented, and committed to delivering consistent care in a rural extended care environment.
Starting Pay Range: $38.00/hr - $49.40/hr , depending on experience
- Position Status: Full-time, non-exempt
- Shift: Nights
- Shift Differentials: Nights = +10% of base wage (after 6pm), Weekends = +15% of base wage

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate outcomes across a range of patient needs. Responsibilities include completing admissions and ongoing assessments, administering medications and treatments, delivering patient and family education, and coordinating care with the healthcare team to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care. The RN monitors patient progress, responds to changes in condition, and provides emergency care when needed while maintaining compliance with clinical standards and protocols. This role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, accurate documentation, and a consistent focus on patient safety, quality care, and compassionate service
.Qualifications:
- Minimum Qualifications:
- BSN from four-year college or university or ADN program with minimum of one (1) year related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current Colorado RN License
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

- Term Life Insurance: 1 x annual salary term life provided by HHD, no employee premium ($200,000 Max.). Additional voluntary life insurance coverage for the employee and family is an option which can be purchased by the employee.
