Job Description

AI Researcher – Semiconductor & Materials AI

  • Location: 12 months in Shenzhen (China),

  • then option to stay or relocate to Warsaw (Poland)

  • Type: Full-time

  • Language: English required

  • Relocation: Fully supported

Our client, a global technology leader operating across international markets, is expanding its advanced R&D activities and is looking for an AI Researcher to bridge Artificial Intelligence with semiconductor design and materials science.

This role begins with a 12-month residency in Shenzhen, one of the world’s leading technology hubs, working on high-impact AI applications in hardware innovation.

Your Role

  • Develop AI-driven solutions for circuit design automation (EDA, layout, verification)

  • Apply Deep Learning and generative models to material simulation and discovery

  • Collaborate with international R&D teams to translate research into industrial applications

  • Contribute to publications and patents

Requirements

  • MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related field

  • Strong background in Machine Learning (Deep Learning, Generative Models, RL, Physics-Informed ML)

  • Experience in semiconductor design (EDA) or materials simulation

  • Proficiency in Python (PyTorch or TensorFlow)

  • Willingness to relocate to China for 12 months

  • Nice to have: experience with semiconductor design tools, multiphysics simulation, or scientific publications.
