What you’ll build
As a Principal Enterprise Architect, you’ll lead enterprise-wide architecture engagements for SAP's most strategic customers, guiding them through the transformation to the SAP Autonomous Enterprise — SAP's bold vision for AI-driven, self-running businesses where collaborative AI agents execute end-to-end processes with minimal human intervention.
You’ll act as a transformation partner to senior IT leaders, influencing architectural decisions, shaping roadmaps, and ensuring consistent application of Suite First, AI First, Enterprise Architecture principles, Clean Core, Value engagement and SAP best practices across complex landscapes.
You will:
- Lead enterprise architecture strategy and roadmap definition translating SAP’s autonomous enterprise vision into actionable and value-driven guidance
- Partner with CIOs and senior IT leaders on RISE-led transformations
- Work with Business Leaders across customer organization
- Lead Process transformation discussions with the customer using Signavio as a source of inputs for such discussions
- Drive value realization through solution adoption and capability consumption, leveraging and thriving on the agent-led toolchain adoption (CALM, LeanIX, Walkme, Signavio, Tricentis)
- Align stakeholders around KPIs, value drivers, and success plans
- Identify and mitigate architectural and adoption risks
- Accelerate the adoption of SAP Business AI Platform including SAP BTP, BDC and other innovation capabilities
- Lead SAP Business AI strategy for the customer -- drive adoption of all AI capabilities across S/4HANA and BTP; build AI use case roadmaps aligned to business outcomes; influence customer decisions on premium AI licensing and consumption
- Document and share successful architectural patterns and lessons learned from customer engagements, contributing to the organization’s knowledge base
- Strengthen architecture standards: Actively participate in defining and refining SAP’s architectural standards, best practices and decision frameworks through peer engagement and CoP contributions
What you bring
- Growth mindset with a proven track record in positioning and realizing business strategy enabled through technology
- Extensive experience and leadership in enterprise architecture or customer-facing transformation roles
- Ability to work comfortably with Business Owners to determine strategy drivers which are relatable to SAP Product and map value drivers through to outcome realization
- Deep understanding of how AI can be used to accelerate transformations and bring business value, reimagining processes and IT CoEs
- Knowledge of multi-agentic AI architecture for enterprise-grade AI capabilities
- Deep knowledge of SAP EA framework, or similar (i.e. TOGAF), RISE with SAP, and Clean Core principles
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and complex hybrid landscapes
- Proven capability of bridging the conversations between technical and business values, semantics and organizational goals
- Proven capability to influence SAP Partners toward SAP strategy during customer engagements, for example adoption of clean core principles, use of SAP AI capability
- Strong executive communication, influencing, and advisory skills
- Proven consulting mindset and business acumen
- Collaborative mindset: demonstrated willingness to share expertise and learn from peers through active participation in team initiatives
- Documentation discipline: Ability to capture complex architectural insights in formats accessible to colleagues across experience levels
- Peer mentoring experience: Track record of supporting junior/peer-level colleagues in developing their capabilities
