UCSF – Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG) Trauma Recovery Center-Rape Treatment Center (TRC-RTC) is an award-winning program that is the first of its kind in California. It is designed to help victim/survivors of interpersonal violence overcome barriers to accessing mental health treatment, health care, and legal resources in the acute aftermath of trauma. Populations served include: recent victim/survivors of violent crime, asylum-seeking and refugee survivors of torture and gender-based persecution in their countries of origin, those who incur traumatic brain injury, as well as survivors from all over the world that have experience trauma resulting in distress and impairment.
