ADMINISTRATIVE VACANCY
COORDINATOR OF SPECIAL EDUCATION-CREEKSIDE SUCCESS CENTER

 


Start Date: July 1, 2026
Calendar:  Full Year 261 Contracted days
Reports To: Director of Special Education 
Benefits: This position is eligible for benefits including group insurance (health, dental and vision), paid sick and personal leave and elective retirement savings plans. Benefit details can be found here.
Salary Range: The minimum salary for this position is $110,232/yr and the maximum salary is $131,076/yr. Initial pay placement is dependent on level of formal education and years of relevant administrative experience (the maximum credit granted is 20 years).

 

Job Description: Coordinator of Special Education

 

About the Position
The Coordinator of Special Education assists the Director of Special Education with oversight of building and zone level programs for a specific zone.  The Coordinator of Special Education is an extension of the Director of Special Education and works closely with the Director to ensure compliance and student achievement of goals with the target of improved student outcomes within the assigned zone.  The Coordinator of Special Education works with the zone's specialized teams, building-level teams, and families to assure quality of services and support for students with disabilities.  When a specific need is identified within the zone, the Coordinator of Special Education, in consultation with the Director, assists teams to improve overall effectiveness.

Education and Licensure Requirements:

  1. Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Special Education preferred
    • Candidates with Graduate degree in Educational Administration or Leadership considered
  2. Colorado licensure for Director of Special Education Administrators License or eligibility at the time of hire required
  3. Three years of special education teaching experience
  4. Two years of administrative experience in district or school setting
