Solution Architect , Transportation

Location: Hybrid- Brisbane / Sydney / Melbourne

Summary:

A Solution Architect (SA) is focused on the Industry and positioning of comprehensive solutions that solve complex business challenges by integrating a series of Bentley products that create an end-to-end solution, Solution architects play a crucial role in understanding user requirements and designing comprehensive solutions that align with their business objectives.​

A SA leverages their deep technical and domain expertise to create customized proposals, present compelling demonstrations, articulate the proposed solutions’ value proposition to potential users, and collaborate closely with sales teams to ensure that the proposed solutions address user needs and contribute to successfully acquiring new business.​

Responsibilities:

•  Engage Users along with Enterprise Account Managers to communicate how Bentley’s current and future product portfolio, architecture and implementation services align with user objectives and strategic plans.​
• Conduct a comprehensive assessment to understand user requirements, challenges, and goals.​
• Document technical solutions for the account plan and contribute to account reviews.​
• Develop solution architecture that aligns with the user’s needs, industry-standards and Bentley solution capabilities and workflows.​
• Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including account users, strategic technology partners, local governments, and internal Bentley team members.​
• Lead technical workshops and training sessions, in alignment with Enterprise Success, for users and internal teams on user enterprise systems integration.​
• Work closely with other Solution Architects and Product Managers to define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on user feedback and market trends.​
• Evaluate and mitigate a competitor's advantage through proposed product enhancements or solution offerings.​
• Observe and drive industry trends and developments through thought leadership and participation in industry committees.​
• Work collaboratively with Industry Solutions Marketing Teams to communicate Bentley product portfolio of solutions to sophisticated audiences including Events, EACs and technology providers.​

Qualification:

• Strong functional knowledge using relevant Bentley transportation design software such as OpenRoads Designer, OpenRail Designer, OpenRail Overhead Line Designer, Bentley Rail Track (InRail), MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, GEOPAK, and/or InRoads. (Power User Level) Experience with other related industry civil engineering applications such as Civil3D, MX, Trimble is beneficial. 
• Outstanding speaking, presentation, and demonstration skills.
• Ability to explain complex topics to audiences of all levels of knowledge and seniority.
• Independent judgment, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new complex products.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effectively collaborate with teams leveraging communication and project management to define objectives and deliver focus.
