Lighthouse is the Certified Community Behavioral Health Center designated for 9 counties in Southern Oklahoma (Bryan, Carter, Garvin, Johnston, Love, Pontotoc, Marshall, Murray, and Seminole counties) with 8 outpatient clinics (Ada, Ardmore, Durant, Madill, Pauls Valley, Seminole, Sulphur, and Tishomingo).

Lighthouse Behavioral Wellness Centers is a CCBHC (Certified Community Behavioral Health Center) located in South Central Oklahoma and is searching for a self-motivated, dynamic, and team-oriented counselor in our Outpatient clinic in Durant, OK. This position will provide outpatient therapy services to adults experiencing behavioral health issues on an outpatient basis with an integrated approach to care.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under general direction, provides professional mental health or substance abuse services to children and adolescents.
- Participates in the planning and delivery of therapeutic clinical services to consumers and families in a wraparound team approach.
- This position will be working with the various group along with their caregivers and adults. Applicant must be willing to work with entire family system. Training will be provided as available for this position.
COUNSELOR I QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Completion of the curriculum requirements of a Master’s degree in a mental health or substance abuse-related field from an accredited university and one (1) year experience in a professional capacity involving the delivery of clinical services. A clinical practicum can qualify as one (1) year of clinical experience.
B. Must be an approved candidate for Oklahoma State Licensure as an LCSW, LADC-MH, LPC, LMFT, or LBP.
C. Demonstrated skill in working with people; and in effectively treating social, emotional, and addiction problems.
D. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and personal automobile insurance.
E. Licensure supervision provided within the agency for LPC and LCSW.
COUNSELOR II QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Completion of the curriculum requirements of a Master’s degree in a mental health or substance abuse-related field from an accredited university and two (2) years' experience in a professional capacity involving the delivery of clinical service or, any equivalent combination of education and experience.
B. Oklahoma State Licensure as an LPC, LBP, LMFT, LCSW, or LADC-MH.
C. Considerable skill in working with people, in effectively treating social, emotional, and addiction problems, in expressing ideas clearly and concisely in written and oral form, in exercising good judgment in evaluating situations, and in making decisions.
D. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and personal automobile insurance.
