Job Description

The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting customer garments according to established standards and procedures, ensuring their conformity and quality. They will also review customer profiles in the GTS system, identify irregularities, and report any issues to the QA Supervisor. Additionally, they will provide support for environmental testing, validations, audits, and controls related to cleanroom and industrial laundry processes. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: • Inspect garments for non-conformities. • Review customer profiles and special requirements in the GTS system. • Scan and classify inspected garments according to their appropriate disposition. • Send inspected garments to the assigned area or department. • Report problems and irregularities to the QA Supervisor. • Support the Quality department by performing the following tasks:  Particle and fiber testing on clean garments.  Environmental monitoring and testing in the cleanroom. Electrical resistance testing on ESD garments. Temperature and humidity recording in controlled environments. Verification of washer and dryer cycles. Testing of city water and DI water. Assist in non-conformity investigations and validations.  Audit proper use of cleanroom clothing. Inspect new and existing garments on inspection tables. Conduct inspections for new accounts/clients. Perform particle and fiber testing on clean garments according to ASTM F51-00. Verify finished containers and gamma batches. Inspect finished totes in the packout area. Review and file production records according to SOPs. Inspect and release incoming chemicals. Provide support and guidance to production personnel on quality matters. REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS: Minimum 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent experience. Preferably basic knowledge in Biology or Science. Experience in quality control or industrial laundry (preferably 1 year). Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Ability to understand instructions in English or Spanish. Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds continuously. Ability to push or pull up to 150 pounds with assistance. Ability to use personal protective equipment (hood, boots, coveralls, safety glasses, and mask). Ability to operate quality control equipment such as particle counters, microscopes, and computers. Excellent attendance, punctuality, and communication skills. Responsible, organized, and detail-oriented. Availability to work overtime and Saturdays, when necessary. Comply with the safety regulations and operational standards established by the company.
