
Downstream Lab Process Sciences Associate
Job Description
- Execute small-scale purification studies to support manufacturing process development and optimization.
- Prepare, operate, and maintain chromatography systems for purification experiments.
- Perform essential laboratory activities, including solution preparation, sample submission, and equipment calibration.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data using statistical methods, and prepare clear technical summaries and reports.
- Partner with team members to troubleshoot challenges and develop innovative scientific solutions.
- Lead the execution of assigned purification projects, coordinating activities and timelines to ensure successful outcomes.
- Collaborate with scientists and cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities, share findings, and support project goals.
- Maintain compliance with GxP requirements, GHS standards, laboratory procedures, and safety protocols.
- Present technical results and project updates to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Thrive in a fast-paced laboratory environment while maintaining attention to detail and scientific rigor.
- Effectively manage multiple priorities, independently organize work, and communicate progress to impacted teams.

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field
- Experience in a lab setting
- HPLC / chromatography experience with understanding of chromatography processes
- GXP experience preferred
- Experience with Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
The position is full-time, Monday - Friday, with the hours of 8:00 am - 4:30 pm with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, New York, are encouraged to apply.
