Special Education Teacher
Essex Elementary School
Summary: A 1.0 position is available at Essex Elementary School in the Therapeutic program for the 2025-2026 school year. A specialized classroom designed to support students through structured, individualized instruction using Discrete Trial Instruction (DTI) to build foundational academic and behavioral skills. Students receive targeted 1:1 and small-group support tailored to their IEP goals within a highly supportive environment. In addition, students participate in push-in opportunities to the general education classroom to develop social skills, engage in classroom routines, and promote inclusion with peers.
CT certification 165 (or equivalent) is required. Experience in a public-school setting with elementary age students is preferred.
