We are looking for a reliable part-time Cook to join our kitchen team. This position is mainly for Friday and Saturday shifts from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM each week, with the possibility of additional shifts during the week based on business needs, events, and availability.
The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role will support daily restaurant service, buffet service, prep, and event production.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
Assist with buffet, à la carte, and event food production
Complete daily prep lists and communicate any shortages
Set up, stock, and maintain assigned stations
Cook proteins, vegetables, starches, soups, sauces, and other menu items as needed
Follow proper food handling, cooling, reheating, and storage procedures
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow health and safety standards at all times
Assist with receiving, rotation, labeling, and storage of food products
Work as part of a team during busy service periods
Help with cleaning duties and end-of-shift close down
Requirements
Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred
Must be available every Friday and Saturday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliable, punctual, and professional
Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs when needed
Food Handler Certification is an asset
Must be willing to follow recipes, portion standards, and kitchen procedures

Pay Rate: $23.02/hour during probation and $24.02/hour after probation
