Social Worker 2 - Adult Neurodevelopmental Service

The Adult Neurodevelopmental Service (ANS) is currently seeking a part time, contract (6 months) Social Worker 2 to work within the clinic. This position will report directly to the Manager, Adult Neurodevelopmental Service. This position will involve working with clients with developmental disabilities and their caregivers. You will provide education to clients and families about diagnosis and assessment as well as provide information on treatment options. In addition, you will work with other supports and service providers in advocating and addressing issues at both the personal and social level. You will connect and refer clients to community resources, programs and supports. As a member of an interprofessional team, you will work with the clinical team as well as members of the Azrieli Adult Neurodevelopmental Centre. You will work in partnership with clients, their formal and informal supports and the ANS team to support clients’ well-being. You will liaise with community health care and developmental disability providers, both within and outside CAMH. This position will involve addressing various issues such as stress and caregiver burnout. You will be expected to contribute to group development and facilitation, research and educational activities. You will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all the applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. This position will involve providing clinical services in the day, evening and weekends and is located at 1025 Queen Street West.
