
Haul Truck Driver - Menzer Quarry
Job Description

- Operates haul truck to transport materials within the quarry site
- Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment
- Loads, hauls, and dumps materials in designated areas
- Maintains proper communication with loader operators, supervisors, and other crew members
- Monitors equipment for mechanical issues and reports defects promptly
- Follows designated haul routes and traffic patterns
- Maintains safe speeds and proper load distribution
- Assists with general site cleanup and housekeeping
- Performs minor maintenance such as fueling, greasing, and checking fluid levels
- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures at all times
- Assists other crew members as needed
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications (Skills, knowledge, experience)
- Experience operating off-road haul trucks or similar heavy equipment preferred
- Knowledge of quarry operations and material handling
- Strong understanding of safety practices in a heavy industrial environment
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Basic mechanical knowledge preferred
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment
- Ability to climb in and out of equipment multiple times per shift
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Good hand-eye coordination and depth perception
- Ability to work long hours, including weekends or overtime as needed
