How you’ll make an impact in this role
Ascension St. Vincent's is looking for a Certified Nurse Midwife to join our Mobile Health division!
The Rural Mobile Health Midwife provides comprehensive prenatal, postpartum, and women’s health services through a mobile health and telehealth model serving underserved and rural communities throughout Northeast Florida. This position focuses on improving maternal and infant outcomes by increasing access to quality care, education, and community resources for high-risk and vulnerable populations.
The Midwife will deliver patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, social workers, patient navigators, and community partners while supporting Ascension St. Vincent’s mission of compassionate, personalized care.
The clinical care responsibilities consists of:
- Provide routine prenatal, postpartum, and gynecologic care within scope of practice
- Perform comprehensive maternal assessments including:
- Blood pressure monitoring
- Fetal heart tone assessments
- Weight and nutritional evaluations
- Prenatal risk screenings
- Postpartum assessments
- Conduct routine women’s health screenings and education
- Identify high-risk pregnancies and coordinate escalation of care with OB/GYN or Maternal Fetal Medicine providers
- Support continuity of care from prenatal through postpartum periods
- Provide lactation education and breastfeeding support
- Assist with family planning counseling and education
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Nurse Midwife credentialed from the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
