Job Description
WBFF/WNUV is looking for a full-time Political Photographer with a passion for local/national government coverage! The candidate should have 1 year of ENG experience with a network affiliate news organization. Day to day, you will cover local Baltimore City and Maryland politics, as well as in-depth investigative assignments. Covering the 90-day legislative session will also be a requirement. WBFF is shooting full high definition (HD) on media cards and editing on desktops and laptops utilizing the Adobe suite. You should have strong editing skills in non-linear edit systems, a strong understanding of creating text-on-screen graphics and document manipulation, possess excellent people skills, a strong work ethic, and a great attitude. A keen understanding of editing vertical videos and social media posts is a plus. A strong interest to grow in the world of political reporting is absolutely essential in this position.
Requirements and Qualifications:

At least (1) year of shooting experience and technical knowledge of editing and photography equipment

Team-player who can produce good stories under tight deadlines

Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record and be able to operate ENG news vehicles

Ability to edit and shoot general assignment stories, lives shots and natural sound packages

Must be able to lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds on a regular basis

Ability to do sit-down interviews with multiple cameras including secondary gear like DSLRs, Osmo/GoPro, and phone
The hourly compensation range for this role is $23.08 to $28.25. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
