Job Description
Your responsibilities:
- Ensure high-quality service delivery in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and KPIs.
- Act as the first point of contact for escalations related to the Record-to-Report process.
- Support external and internal audits, including financial statement audits and control reviews.
- Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries.
- Drive process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives across countries.
- Monitor and maintain a strong internal control environment covering General Ledger, Intercompany, Fixed Assets, Banking, Inventory and Month-End Closing activities.
- Participate in operational, transformation and process improvement projects.
- Identify opportunities for optimization and support the implementation of best practices.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of R2R specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Coordinate and oversee the execution of all Record-to-Report activities across multiple countries.
- Allocate workload, support daily operations and ensure timely delivery of team objectives.
- Monitor team performance, provide feedback and implement actions to improve operational effectiveness.
- Manage employee-related matters, including performance management, development and engagement activities.
- Resolve operational challenges or escalate issues when necessary.
- Lead regular team meetings and ensure effective communication within the team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local affiliates and key stakeholders, particularly during and after transition projects.
- Act as the primary point of contact for affiliate management and collaborate closely with GBS leadership.
- Provide clear guidance and direction to the team in line with business priorities and management decisions.
- Prepare reports, analyze performance metrics and provide insights to management.
- Encourage employee engagement, actively listen to feedback and support initiatives that contribute to a positive team culture.
- Perform other finance and Record-to-Report related activities as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting or Record-to-Report processes
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial operations
- Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level), including the ability to communicate effectively using finance and accounting terminology
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in an international environment
- Good organizational and time-management abilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines and priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Nice to have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
- Previous experience in a team leadership or supervisory role
- Strong leadership potential with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to motivate, develop and engage team members
- Knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite or other ERP systems
