Job Description
Job Summary:
Electronics maintenance is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and technical support of process instrumentation and control systems throughout the manufacturing and testing of night vision products.
Job Responsibilities:
PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting
Industrial computer and various ISA/PCI bus troubleshooting and repair
Troubleshoot to the component level for the full spectrum of analog, digital, RF, optical, and industrial control systems. Must be able to make component-level repairs to address non-operational control systems.
Utilize test equipment (DVM, Oscilloscopes, Frequency Generator, computer-based, etc.) appropriate to the testing objective
Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting skills for manufacturing, product quality assurance, and facilities equipment systems
Perform complete electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance services
Monitor inventory of equipment spare parts; be able to effectively locate replacement parts from a variety of web-based sources.
Use various hand and power tools, multi-meters, leak detectors, electronic or computerized test systems, etc.
Qualifications:
Required:
Associate's degree or its equivalent in troubleshooting electronic equipment.
Thorough knowledge of electronic circuitry, schematics, troubleshooting, and safety practices.
Good mechanical and strong electrical aptitude, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly required by a diverse and extensive amount of electronic control systems within the facility.
Knowledgeable of a wide array of industrial technologies, including electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum technology, and control systems.
Able to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical manuals
Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
Preferred:
Experience with industrial automation, PLC programming, and temperature controls.
Two (2) years of industrial electronics background.
Proficiency in soldering
