Job Description:
The Junior Engineer – Photolithography is responsible for supporting process development, control, and optimization of photolithography processes in Panel Level Packaging (PLP) and Wafer Level Chip Scale Packaging (WLCSP). The role ensures stable patterning performance, defect reduction, and high yield through strong process monitoring and data-driven improvements.
Job Description:
Support end-to-end photolithography processes including; Coat, Expose and Develop process using tools like ACM and Delta tools, Pattern Lamination, Expose and Develop process, After Develop Inspection (ADI) and CD metrology
Monitor and control critical parameters; Resist thickness uniformity, Critical Dimension (CD), Overlay / alignment accuracy and Defects (particles, scum, residues, lifting)
Drive defect reduction and cycle time improvement projects
Perform routine data analysis and trend monitoring
Support root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions
Support process development and optimization activities.
Coordinate with Equipment Engineering for needed tool calibration, preventive maintenance and tool qualification.
Support new product introduction (NPI) activities; Recipe setup and validation and process qualification
Assist in developing process capability for new technologies
Prepare and maintain Work instructions (WI), Process specifications and recipes, Engineering change documents
Requirements/Qualifications:
Minimum diploma in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or related field (Engineering Degree)
Exposure to WLCSP, or semiconductor processes
Experience as a former Nepes Process Technician or Engineer is an advantage, particularly with background and knowledge in the Photolithography process.
Familiarity with Photoresists (positive/negative tone) and Lithography defect mechanisms
Knowledge of DOE and SPC tools (JMP, Minitab, Excel, Infinity QS)
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Detail-oriented and methodical approach
Good communication and teamwork
Proactive and willing to learn in a high-tech manufacturing environment
Cleanroom environment (strict contamination control)
Handling of chemicals (photoresist, developer, solvents)
Shift work may be required to support production
