Overview
The Data Analyst will perform advanced analysis of healthcare financial data and provide insights into the health of the business. This role requires strong analytical skills and a passion for uncovering information hidden in complex datasets. It is a technical, detail-oriented position focused on analyzing healthcare claims and financial data to guide operations, billing, and strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will have several years of relevant experience and a proven ability to deliver solutions based on true, data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze healthcare claims, collections, and billing data to identify performance trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
- Apply advanced statistical and analytical techniques to evaluate historical performance and determine root causes
- Build, train, validate, and maintain predictive models to forecast outcomes and support data-driven decision-making
- Define, track, and manage business metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with financial and operational objectives
- Translate business and functional requirements into scalable data models and structured analysis plans
- Develop, automate, and maintain reports, analytical models, and data visualizations
- Design, deploy, and support Power BI dashboards and reports for executive and operational stakeholders
- Identify data quality issues, gaps, and inconsistencies; recommend and implement corrective solutions
- Document metrics, definitions, data sources, logic, and end-to-end reporting processes
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and deliver stakeholder training for new reports, dashboards, and analytical models
- Collaborate with onshore and offshore developers, analysts, and data teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Coordinate cross-functional data analysis initiatives while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and high-quality deliverables
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• 3+ years of experience analyzing data and writing queries in SQL Server
• 2+ years conducting advanced statistical analysis using Python or a similar tool
• 1+ year working with financial data, preferably related to healthcare claims and revenue cycle operations
• 1+ year building reports and dashboards in Power BI or a similar reporting tool
• Demonstrated ability to think critically about data and draw actionable conclusions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver with minimal supervision
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
• Ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
