Job Description
Execute Andrew Peller Limited’s (APL) On-Premise sales and marketing objectives. Deliver sales targets through development of existing accounts and ongoing new business development. Build APL brands through distribution at “lighthouse” visibility accounts as well as high-volume accounts. Candidates must be self-starters, display strong interpersonal skills, administrative acumen and have a proven track-record of being competitive, results-driven, detail-oriented, and passion for wine. This teammate will be responsible for:
Sales Results
Drive growth and maximize sales revenue and profitability by securing new accounts, distribution and features
Expand Andrew Peller Limited market share in Downtown Toronto at industry leading accounts
Execute brand objectives, marketing and promotional programs to build brand awareness and equity
Deliver exceptional customer service and always act with a strong sense of urgency
Financial/Administrative
Operate territory within approved expense budget and adhere to company expense policy
Manage promotional budget to deliver growth and profitability targets
Compose and deliver regular business updates to Provincial Sales Manager
Maintain and actively leverage CRM platform
Business Development
Build and maintain productive business relationships with key licensee and industry personnel
Develop leads through cold calling, networking, research and superior customer service
Conduct presentations including staff training, wine pairing, customer and consumer facing events, etc.
Ensuring prompt and proper handling of all customer concerns and complaints
Maintain professional conduct and accepted social and industry practices
Identify competitor activities, market developments, market/product opportunities
Communications
Prompt, clear, concise communicator
Confidently navigate challenging conversations and negotiations
Active participation in sales meetings, contributing insights, identifying opportunities and solutions
The skills, knowledge and experience this teammate will bring:
University or College Degree
Wine experience and knowledge, WSET 2 preferred
Beverage Alcohol and/or Food and Beverage management experience is an asset
Demonstrated selling skills along with product/market knowledge
Resides within territory
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint
The base salary for this role is $75,000–$85,000
