Key Responsibilities
SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (30-40%)
- Manage P&L accountability and drive revenue growth for B&I services across Thailand and GMR, delivering budgeted sales targets and year-on-year growth
- Lead all business development activities, including tender management and proposal development for large capex projects
- Develop and execute strategies to expand OPEX service offerings alongside existing capex portfolio
- Support business development teams in client presentations, proposals, and tender submissions
- Identify and pursue new client opportunities within the large capex and emerging OPEX segments
LEADERSHIP & TEAM MANAGEMENT (People)
- Provide leadership to the team through weekly, monthly and quarterly sales objectives and Key Account
- Manage multidisciplinary teams of engineers, consultants, and inspectors to ensure seamless project delivery
- Provide leadership and mentoring to project managers and teams, ensuring capability development and high performance
- Assess capability gaps and align resource allocation with business priorities to support sustainable growth
PROJECT MANAGEMENT & EXECUTION (Operations - 30%)
- Lead and oversee the full lifecycle of construction projects, from project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, to handover
- Serve as primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement at all levels
- Provide general supervision of project execution in coordination with the technical team
- Develop and implement project strategies, budgets, timelines, and risk management plans
- Conduct regular reviews of project performance, cost control, and quality assurance
- Identify and resolve project issues and potential risks proactively
QUALITY ASSURANCE & COMPLIANCE (Standards)
- Ensure projects comply with international standards, local regulations, and Bureau Veritas' quality and safety frameworks
- Prepare, review, and ensure the quality of all Bureau Veritas deliverables to maintain our high standards and client satisfaction
- Take ownership of deliverable quality assurance processes and implement continuous improvement measures
- Coordinate with technical teams to verify that all BV outputs meet contractual requirements and quality benchmarks
STRATEGY & REPORTING (30%)
- Develop and execute long-term business strategies for B&I services in Thailand and GMR, including market analysis, financial planning, and service positioning
- Manage P&L accountability: prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on KPIs, revenue trends, profitability, and progress toward annual growth targets
- Monitor strategic risks, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape; identify growth opportunities
- Track progress against budgeted sales and revenue growth targets; escalate risks and variances to Southeast Asia B&I Leader
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role as Project Director / Senior Project Manager in construction or engineering projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex, multi-industry projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, engineering practices, contract management, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong financial and budget management capabilities.
- International project management exposure will be an advantage.
- Fluent in English and Thai (both written and spoken).
Preferred Certifications
- International project management experience, particularly in Southeast Asia or similar emerging markets
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or Prince2 Practitioner certification
- Chartered Engineer (CEng), Professional Engineer (PE), or equivalent
- Training or certification in ISO standards, HSE Management, or Quality Management Systems
- Experience developing OPEX service lines or transitioning capex clients to recurring revenue model
Key Success Metrics
- Revenue & Growth: Deliver budgeted sales revenue and achieve year-on-year growth targets for B&I Thailand & GMR
- Project Delivery: Maintain or improve project delivery performance (on-time, on-budget, quality compliance rate ≥95%)
- Client Expansion: Successfully onboard 2-3 new large capex clients or expand existing client relationships
- OPEX Service Development: Launch and secure initial OPEX service contracts, targeting 15-20% of total B&I revenue by end of Year 1
- Team Development: Achieve team engagement and retention targets; complete capability development plans for all direct reports
- Compliance & Brand: Zero material compliance or quality breaches; maintain Bureau Veritas brand reputation and client satisfaction in region
