
Sr. Real Estate Counsel - Renewables
Job Description
The Team:
The Role:
- Leading efforts to support the origination and closing of renewable energy real estate assets in the United States.
- Managing a pipeline of deals across the US and facilitating dialogue between pricing, origination, legal, and the management team.
- Negotiating and drafting documents for commercial real estate transactions.
- Overseeing due diligence activities and underwriting assets for lease terms, projected cash flow, and operator, offtaker, and facility information.
- Advising on strategic transactions and commercial matters.
Requirements:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 6-12 years as a commercial real estate attorney at a mid to large-sized law firm and in-house at a renewable energy developer is required.
- Understanding of the financing, development, and operation of solar, wind, and battery projects.
- Fluent with technology and remote work.
- Juris Doctor and bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. state.
Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without visa sponsorship.
