Department Overview

Media & Data Solutions Department has union of services that contribute to the marketing solutions in entire Rakuten. Our media & tech solutions and assets consist of data acquisition and delivery platforms for market research, analytics and marketing solutions, user engagement contents, ad-medias/inventories, omni-channel business platforms, OMO solutions, etc.

Our department develops and operates one of Japan's largest online market research systems. We operate both business and consumer systems, allowing you to experience the fun and challenges of each.

For business systems, we develop and operate a survey creation system that allows for targeting survey respondents similar to that used in online advertising, and complex question design.

For consumer systems, we develop and operate a survey response system (web, iOS app, Android app) that allows survey respondents to respond.

We also develop new services that combine big data built from large-scale surveys with AI, creating the services needed to understand people's behavior using cutting-edge technology.

　

 

Position:

　

Position Details

You will be responsible for the functional design, development, and operation of our online market research system. In addition to API and batch development primarily using Java and Python, you will also be involved in the product design and development of new features utilizing big data.

Responsibilities

Functional design, coding, testing, release, and operational monitoring

Investigation, root cause analysis, recovery, and implementation of permanent countermeasures for system troubles

Research and consideration of new technologies, and proposals for improving existing processes and systems

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Java development and operation experience (3+ years)

- RDMS development and operation experience (3+ years)

- REST API design and development experience

- k8s/Docker development experience
- Business Level Japanese

　

　

Desired Qualifications:

- AI development experience

- Secure, scalable and maintainable coding experience

- Working experience as tech lead
